BREEDING PHILOSOPHY
I strive for the betterment of the breed's health. I am determined to help preserve the Ragdoll breed for future generations to fall in love with. I do my best to match life-long homes for each cat that leaves here. No Snoot Boop Ragdoll will be a shelter cat. All will have homes for life.
The following are my beliefs and promises as a Ragdoll breeder:
About Me and My Cattery
Where Passion Meets Preservation
I'm Rose Skorupa, I started Snoot Boop Ragdolls in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. A lifelong love for animals put me down a veterinary medicine path that led to the cattery life dream. I have years of experience working and volunteering at animal hospitals and shelters. That led me to do rehabilitation and foster work as well.
In 2021 my cattery dream got to finally begin after a lot of research. I contacted TICA's mentorship program and was so fortunate to get connected with Stormi Nell of Familytime Rags. She has proven to be a great person and breeder helping preserve traditional lines. She is who started my love and appreciation of them. I have since dedicated myself to helping preserve 100% traditional Ragdolls.
I breed to the breed standard. My cats come from champion bloodlines including Regional Winners, Supreme and Quadruple Grand Champions. I am so fortunate to be able to focus on being a breeder full-time. I ensure each kitten receives lots of love and socialization all through the day.
My mission is to produce healthy, affectionate Ragdolls that stay true to the breed. I want to see loving, floppy kittens living long lives. You are not just getting a pet when you add a Snoot Boop Ragdoll to your family. You are becoming part of our commitment to preserving the breed's future as well as helping my dreams be a reality. I want to see the foundation of the breed we adore last for future generations to fall in love with as I have.

Better Understanding the Ragdoll Breed
Ragdolls are known for their striking blue eyes, colorpoint coats and affectionate personalities.
100% Traditional Ragdolls are those with at least 90% of their ancestral history tracing back to the original foundation cats developed by Ann Baker in Riverside, California in the early 1960's. "Traditional Ragdoll" is often misused in the Ragdoll community. Many breeders may refer to cats of traditional colors as "traditional Ragdolls". This does not mean they are traditional line Ragdolls.
100% TRADITIONAL RAGDOLLS:
-
Most closely related to the cats that originally started the breed in the 1960's
-
Come in Seal, Blue, Chocolate or Lilac as a colorpoint breed with eyes that are only blue
-
Come in Mitted, Bicolor or Colorpoint patterns only (no Red, Cream, Tortie, Lynx or Torbie)
-
Known for their moderate features, gentle temperament and sometimes slower maturation
Ragdolls rank as the top breed of cat year after year. This means they are the most popular, widely owned breed of pedigree cat within the largest cat organizations.
Ragdolls are one of the largest domestic cat breeds. Males average 15-20 pounds. Females average 10-15 pounds. They take up to 4 years to reach full size. They are a colorpoint breed which means their eyes are only blue. It also means they are born white as kittens. Their coloration and pattern develops by 2-3 years. They have a soft bunny coat that requires occasional combing.
My Ragdolls embody what the breed was meant to be: large, lovable companions that often go limp when held. A need for human companionship makes Ragdolls perfect additions to any family. Especially for those seeking a devoted shadow cat that loves to be in your day.

Ragdoll Colors & Patterns
Guide to Ragdoll Cat Colors
In the Ragdoll world there are traditional colors and non-traditional colors. All traditional line Ragdolls only come in traditional colors. Non-traditional line Ragdolls can come in traditional colors. A Ragdoll being one of the traditional colors does not mean it is from traditional lines.

Understanding Ragdoll Patterns
Ragdolls are a colorpoint breed. Ragdolls only have colorpoint coats. Ragdolls only have blue eyes. Not aqua, teal, green or any other shade or color. Being colorpoint affects every part of their color.
How Colorpoint Breeds Work
The points or ends of the cat are darker than the rest of it (face, ears, legs, feet and tail). Being a point breed also means Ragdolls are born white. A Ragdoll's coat colors and pattern reach full development around 3 years of age. Colorpoint breed eyes are always blue.
Ragdolls Come in 3 Main Patterns
Mitted, Colorpoint and Bicolor
Blue Point Mitted Ragdoll
Blue Colorpoint Ragdoll
Blue Point Bicolor Ragdoll
Pattern Overlays
Tortie (from the Red gene), Lynx (tabby stripes) and Torbies (both Tortie and Lynx together).
